I fear though that Luminar Neo will need a miracle if its going to compete with the likes of DxO, Lr/Ps, Capture One, On1 PhotoRAW etc within a reasonable timeframe. Improve the UI, provide it with a usable wokflow, add in some of the key functionality it lacks today and improve performance overall and it could easily overturn this finding, especially if core features like Relight Ai can be improved upon.
#LUMINAR NEO PRICE PLUS#
There’s simply too much missing in terms of functionality plus its clunky in use and its workflow feels overly complex. In my opinion, and this is based on Neo as it stands today, I simply don’t feel that it is ready for prime-time use. Read on if you want a more in-depth overview. OK Charley - tell me how you really feel.Rather than make you wait for my findings, here’s a summary of how I feel about Luminar Neo after a couple of weeks of using the software.
In Germany the laws governing advertisements on Youtube have been made stricter, this means anyone can shut down the Youtube shills through complaints about missing promotion declarations. They deserve to be shut down to protect customers from their constant ripoff. For that reason, try not to be so harsh with a company that doesn't have the deep financial pockets of a company like Adobe.
(I can't get around that reality.) Still, we need at least one company to innovate, with the others cleaning up the mess.
#LUMINAR NEO PRICE MAC#
It is indeed unfortunate that Skylum (once a company that catered only to Mac users) does not have a top-rate quality-control team. What have you been smoking? They are creative in the way they extract the money from your pocket but in terms of image editing they are pure snake oil! Even their sky replacement is as bad as it seems, their face enhancement is racist (doesn't properly process faces of any other than northern european origin). When it comes to innovation, Skylum is the only company today that is truly creative. Do you really think they are even willing to do something? I don't, they have your money and by your comment you are going to fall for their next ripoff! They owe it their customers for three years to fix the major bugs their Aurora HDR 2018 (now renamed to Luminar HDR but that and compatibility with Catalina were the only changes in those 3 years) but nothing happens. They owe it their customers to bugfix Luminar 4 and Luminar AI but that will not happen.
Luminar AI wasn't any better, it still runs like a dog and is buggy as hell. Luminar 4 was garbage and didn't fulfil the promises made by their CEO (later retracted), it ran like a dog and tossed it's library just when you looked at it from the wrong direction. They have lied about continued support for years now and you still think that they are able to create a good product. You seem to be too trusty! They have shafted their customers at least 5 times (not counting the screwups of the workflow in the middle of a product release). I find it hard to believe that NEO is the piece of junk everyone seems to think it's going to be, months before its release.įool me once.
#LUMINAR NEO PRICE UPGRADE#
These two programs combined, along with a number of new innovative features, makes the upgrade price of $36.04 (tax included) really tough to beat, especially when you consider that you're given a full 30-day trial period to try NEO after it is downloaded into your computer. I really enjoy the Templates in Luminar AI, and the Layer features of Luminar 4. You can do it one time if Luminar AI is not open, but that's it.

And they still can't be bothered to institute drag and drop to open files which is available in almost every other software editing problem.
